All these regard new traders hitting lottos and making 5 or 6 figures, man ive been at this for 5 fucking years now and never once has a yolo play made me money. My best returns to date were 3 12x and 15x 0dte butterflies but I of course am conservative and they were only 1% of my total account
ive never seen more ber go bankrupt than in 2022. "bear market" in temporary trend but nearly every other day was a gap up or a face melting ripper pump.
even if it faded back to flat it wouldnt matter. the deed was done and ber got smoked.
great year frankly
Man its tough loss. Ive taken several with puts one thing ive learned is never swing puts on indexes Just day trade them quickly . Market will always go up unless down turn is confirmed but its rare
RE: Chase rewards - Ive heard that before. Most people seem to revere them as the best, what Ive seen online, etc, but I have a sapphire and freedom unlimited and they kinda sucked for me. I used them for years and didnt really get much from them, in the few years Ive been with Citi Ive gotten far more free travel from their program. I havent really been able to figure that out tbh.
I am going to review Amex and Capital One\`s offerings when I have some downtime though because I am curious now. Thanks for your time.
Ride on. I moved from Chase to Citi a few years ago because I was getting way better rewards through them, but lately Ive been curious if theres another step up - Ill have to take a closer look at Amex.
Interesting perspective. I specifically avoid carrying a balance, my primary purpose for using credit was always rewards points, but I have the impression that the average joe is probably carrying balances and using it as a crutch based on how common debt is in the US.
Its interesting to think of it as the primary purpose being purchase protection though - I mean before tap to pay, I would always use a credit card at the gas station for that exact reason, if theres a skimmer etc.
So is it that Amex has better rewards and purchase protection than other banks? In my experience Chase is a pretty low bar, their rewards are trash compared to Citi.
Ive been in the market for a new card recently as my goals and spending habits have changed and Ive been thinking there may be other options out there that are better for me than what I have currently, so thanks for humoring me.
