1895 sq foot
I own a pizza shop, and my prices are better per sq/in than national shops, and I make everything from scratch. I am lucky that there are so many co-ops where I live that I can get the food I haven't grown from. I have found places like this in many places. See if you have a growers outlet type store or co-ops in your area.
The guy who loves gold more than anything is building a 90,000 sq ft building. This is a short term drop to make him happy so he can make it 190,000 sq ft for the same price. Just be patient
Ok so London, 1m pounds then right? Other guy said top 3 expensive city. Gotcha and agreed. 1m also not enough to retire *in that location.* Managed, it absolutely is if you're somewhere with low(er) cost of living. You choose to stay in that expensive city at 1mil by choice vs the option of moving somewhere cheap for whatever your reasons. You still *could* retire elsewhere. Retired in this context doesn't mean ignore your money either, managing it's growth is necessary at 1mil as much as 10mil unless you're simply looking for the price by which you can set money on fire forever. A friend in Portland showed me a house that cost 1.4m, that would be the equivalent to the poor neighborhood in most of the midwest, for example. For less than a 3rd of that, I'm talking 8 acres, private stream, 3600 sq ft, 4be3ba and less than an hour to international airport. But to each their own. My sister lived in London for a decade, bought and sold a flat along the way, and is making half as much today with 3x times the quality of life. She even has a second home as a rental. Life outside cities can be pretty amazing if you don't care about an extra 20-30 minutes drive on occasion.
