yeah unironically its such a weird thing to buy because why the fuck are you gaming on travel in most cases? I bought a $260 open-box laptop for "gaming" when I do work travel, but I would never think of spending like $1500+ on something like this because I am rarely if ever going to use it. nevermind the fact that you can build an absolute fucking behemoth of a gaming desktop for so cheap even with covid inflation. NVDA RTX 4060 is an absolute beast of a graphics card for only like $300-$350, and you only need another $1K or so to play most of even the top games at this point at like 1080p at a minimum

solid. I used to do that with BA around 200 - 215. RTX does seem to always get stuck at around here. even before the Pratt Whitney issue.

If you look at the last 2 - 3 weeks, RTX has bounced between 100 - 102. So I've been getting calls when it's at/below 100, then sell and buy puts when it hits 102. Rinse, repeat. Not big gains but profit is profit.

Cloud Gaming isn't a thing and is never gonna be a thing....hopefully, because that would be a fucking dystopian future. It doesn't work for a number of reasons - lag (of all types, including input lag), limited controls, licensing issues. Google tried it, NVidia tried something like it with their RTX thing....it's utter shit and it will always be utter shit. It's also almost impossible to provide without mad subsidies coming from...somewhere. While it's cool that you can use the same resources for multiple gamers, those resources have to be available nonstop anyway (electricity costs) and that hardware has to be easy to upgrade. It would also require good infrastructure (which doesn't exist in most countries). It might work for a few single player, but people who play single player usually don't want their games to require an internet connection.  This sort of thing will not gain traction.  It's a dumb fucking idea and it always has been.
