I’m holding contracts on META, SPY, some long dated contracts for positions that were pounded down after ER and some random losses I hope will recover a bit in the next two weeks (I joined on ALCC and played HOOD earnings.) It’s the most boring day in the market this year for me. I keep returning here for inspiration, and smile at people being happy over memes, but ugh, wish I (or someone else) had an appealing idea to explore today…instead I keep sharing my confessional.

I can only offer you some feedback for moving forward. Let's compare DWAC to ALCC. DWAC had the Trump name and the cult like obedience that it commands. It also had an urgency factor. Election is right around the corner, Trump needs funds for campaign and legal defense from multiple trials that his supporters feel are politically motivated and given his age this will likely be his last election. DWAC also had massive hype on Reddit (and elsewhere) for a sustained period. Now let's look at ALCC. It's got Sam Altman who while famous in his own right is not a household name like DJT. Nukes also aren't his primary venture, AI is. Nuclear also faces a lot of regulatory hurdles as well as public perception and NIMBY attitudes. It's also got stiff competition from solar, wind and tidal all of which will continue to mature. And even though the demand for energy will be huge thanks to AI, energy itself just isn't as sexy (although consensus says that it is a good long term play) So with DWAC it was like blouse button busting cleavage that had unstoppable momentum whereas with ALCC there is a lot of friction and substantially less popularity. Might have suggested just playing shares and cashing out on Friday.
