yall can make fun of me for saying this over and over again more than 42069 times like a broken record but im gonna spit it one more time cuz im an entitled stuck up regard, what im worried abt is that when Fed cuts rate it might automatically make Yen relatively stronger against USD (it already is as to US rate cut expectations being priced in, USD/JPY is 139 rn, usually rate cut itself makes currency value plummet) which can trigger the yen carry trade unwinding again like on Aug 5th ish considering it's gonna make the trade less profitable (regardless of the fact that BOJ least likely to raise rate again soon), additionally CFTC JPY net position being positive this month doesn't necessarily mean the yen carry trade is wholly unwound since nobody precisely is able to estimate the total volume of it (search on Google, JPM currency strategist Benjamin Shatil mentioned abt this) all the numbers out being reported is just ball park figure, yall are free to take this comment as fearmogering coming from cynical ghey bear but im a NVDA and NVDL share holder too, on the rate cut news the market can moon instantly tho hmm jmho  edit: in light of CFTC JPY net position being positive, some ppl suppose the yen carry trade unwinding is likely completely done but it could imply hedge funds and whales are betting on Yen to moon in long term, and its been positive since 8/30 and on 9/3 USD/JYP crashed (yen got increasingly stronger against dollar) and NVDA plunged -10%, altho its fully recovered on the conf on 11th when Zaddy Jensen did the magic ✨.
