Founded in 2004, Facebook's mission is to give people the power to build community and bring the world closer together. People use Facebook's apps and technologies to connect with friends and family, find communities and grow businesses.
More people who held FB ahead of earnings chose to harvest profits by selling to people FOMOing into the stock. Unfortunately, there was more sell pressure than buy pressure. Those who sold will re-buy and bring the price back up. That's how this work. Price action is a reflection of buy vs. sell pressure.
Microsoft and Google should dip too since they'll likely have similar costs in AI infra to FB, but this market makes no sense so they'll probably moon.
Their net income Y/Y was up 117%. The share price after the AH dump will be up about 98%.
If you double your net income, you would expect your share price to double, especially for a mature business like FB. It is not as though they juiced their earnings with one off stuff, they just sold that much advertising.
I see your point, but Google is almost at ATH. Are you saying you are going to buy the dip when it crashes? Also FB beat numbers(i think), supposedly they crashed on guidance
Who says there gonna die off? Zuck will AI them to keep them around forever shit posting on FB, giving them their greatest dream of keeping their multimillion dollar homes they bought for 105k that they would rather burn to the ground then pass down to there ungrateful entitled millennial children who have never really worked a day in their lives.
