You'd have to be the one being intentionally obtuse if you're saying the food being served at taco trucks and the food being served at chipotle are the same. They're completely different, one will not satisfy a craving for the other
Maybe it depends on the add ons? adding cheese and/or guac adds a good 300 Cals, add chips and its an extra full 1,000. Of course, every person is different, down to the gut bacteria. If you're used to eating a lot of meat, burgers are going to go down easier than starch-rich brown rice and black beans which would definitely make you feel bloated if your digestive system isn't used to it.
Bill Ackman. good name for a dog. we call him Billy.
Well that's the catch, you are taking median income, they're talking average. Ideally these would be similar in a healthy economy but as you say, 90% of earners are below the mean. That's uh ... not good
Swallow your pride and get a water cup and then be the jackass who fills it with your drink of choice on the way out haha
I'm not arguing at all with that statement. I'm just confirmed that some people do walk into a Chipotle and spend $25 on themselves.
In some areas sure. Around me there's just a Jimmy John's and a subway though
The dude your replying to was not getting a drink. You just randomly decided his food is $13-14, not the $10 he's actually paying 💀 "You'll get a drink and you'll fucking like it!! 😡"
Now my wife and I get salad house or sweet green and for 17.50 you get a legit good meal. We used to get two bowls or one quesadilla and one bowl and split it, but for that price we’d rather get fancy salads with crazy fresh shit in it. I’m sure those places will shit it up eventually.
Chipotle is definitely more expensive than the taquerias that directly inspired it. A "super burrito" in the mission district of San Francisco is around $16 now. That has everything on it, including guac, is about the size of your head, comes with chips, and is served by an iconic taqueria paying insane San Francisco rents (I chose Pancho Villa on 16th St for this comparison).
