I think IRL most Americans would not say Luigi is a hero. The internet is not the same as IRL. But you probably see more people online saying he is a hero because the online space is very to the left on healthcare and true or not believe UNH are scumbags and think the CEO was doing something evil. Charlie Kirk was really just talking to people and saying things (even if you think his viewpoints were harmful its a much more indirect type of harm) and it's hard for anyone to heroize the killing of that. And yes it helps too that Luigi is just better looking.
