What a fraudulent system. Look at shares available to borrow @ 10:15 on GME and BBBY and then follow the stock daily start starting at 10:15. Gary Cumguzzler Gensler is a scumbag. If you’re not putting your money into an ETF with a long term outlook or buying into a company where politicians, banks and hedge funds have place their bet, the odds are heavily against you. It’s a casino, but cheating by the house is generally accepted and openly done so with zero recourse for those impacted.

I think the real difference is that the og sub was for finance nerds and now its a get rich quick scheme. The amount of different tickers that were mentioned was so much larger than now. I remember scrolling through here seeing gain porn on like 5 different tickers and loss porn on 5 other tickers every day. It was clear that it was a sub for people with many plays. I mean you could check the sub and know multiple different stocks that mooned or crashed just because of the posts on the sub. I feel like modern wsb are people who all in to much and hold on forever instead of the diversity of pre GME wsb. People here now aren't here to discuss stocks they already know.
