It use to be sooo GREAT, i use to even get mentioned on it, cause I would tweet them something they got wrong or something happening they did not know. But somewhere along the way, it just got bad. Like a gameshow, total disregard that this is people's money at stake. I only miss the Brain, he is awesome. On Bloomberg, it's just people who ACTUALLY manage money. My highlight tho...I once tweeted Jim to shut the fuck up about apple, you talk about it 80% of the day and im a apple fan boy. This is when it was about to hit 700 or 800. He actually said on Air, guy who tweeted me to shut up about apple, you dont know anything. Few months later i was buying calls at 420, thank Bill Miller! Edit add: those call were sold early for 5x return over less than a year. I probably bought the worst ones (near money, couple years out). If I’d listen to CNBC monthly pump of the stock, it was all they were talking about (basically they sold everyone and no more buyers). I would have been a bagholder. I thank bill miller, cause he’s a legend and he mentioned it as a trade idea and it made sense.I

Abe is another popular topic. Comments for that:

Stock dividend is seeing an increase in chatter as well. Comments below:

Sweet - getting a deal on shares before the stock split dividend. The NFT marketplace has immense potential. Anyone painting this as only a jpeg exchange needs to get a hobby other than hating on GameStop. RC wouldn’t be pursuing this unless there was a legitimate opportunity to make profits. Very excited to see how this unfolds. Also hedgies R Fuk

Have you seen the video where he tells everyone that he will lie for large institutions, in order to manipulate the stock market? He is employable by large institutions for that reason. Here you go. https://youtu.be/jIfixbq_u0Q

No no you see it’s… well I mean.. but like you own the image…. But not the controller… but it’s unique designs… only 5000 available… uhm uuuuuh >looks at notecards I like the stock? Edit: okay hold tf up I just fell down a rabbit hole So on the GameStop nft scam page there’s a collection of “spaceships” you can buy which will be usable in an upcoming nft game called Lone Navigator 2. 1. There is **NO GAMEPLAY** for this game. 2. You can’t customize your own ship because you have to spend $250+ just to own a pre customized (and randomized) ship Can anyone explain to me what is going on?? Do people actually think this is the *future of gaming.* I feel like I’m going crazy watching people praise this as the next step in how games are created, when THERES NO GAME TO PLAY **YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED**

So you're implying that a stock with an average volatility of 15pp is going to tank 25-50% after the CPI results? GL on that, but it seems very implausible!

Nice-Violinist-6395 - 102 upvotes - source
That notoriously strong dollar, right? The USD is like the Cavendish Banana: forever top dog not because of its beauty or taste, but merely by sheer force. On a related note, it’s a shame governments can’t just automatically devalue currency, American prices really did make more sense in the 1950s when a bottle of Coke was a nickel and a dollar was a great tip. Plus being a millionaire doesn’t mean anything anymore; just like people in the Mad Men era didn’t call themselves hundredthousandaires, there’s no term for “an American who is solidly wealthy, since they’re worth over $11 million in today’s money.” Oh and getting paid more than 350x your average floor level employee was seen as gauche and practically unheard of. But hey, what’s the stock market without insane volatility and white collar criminals?

skramzy - 87 upvotes - source
GME investors unironically believe that this marketplace is going to replace the stock market and make them all NFTs

Additional-Ferret616 - 83 upvotes - source
OP, give it a break man. You are clearly tilting on the stock market, and on Reddit, simply judging by the amount that you keep commenting back on people’s posts. If you had been paying attention to Reddit, you would have come to realize that rule #1 states that no one has a crystal ball, and no one knows where the top or bottom is. You should have also realized the best way to make money was to do your own DD, make your own decisions, and be a man when the market kicks you in the teeth. No one cares that you lost 20k because if you saddled up, you’d probably make it all back when the market goes Bull again. But whatever, go cry in the corner but please for the love of god, have your pitty party elsewhere.

Yup_butthole99 - 81 upvotes - source
No I’m fully done. I’m just going to work like the slave I’m suppose to be. No money in the stock market.

skramzy - 51 upvotes - source
That's terrific, but anybody can patent anything they want; that doesn't mean it's viable to exist. Are you committing to saying that a failing video game retailer's NFT platform is going to replace the stock market as we know it today? Let's try a quick exercise: I want you to slowly say that to yourself out loud, or the person nearest you, and then think about it for a few short moments. Feels pretty fuckin' stupid right? Well, that's because it is.

Me2910 - 50 upvotes - source

China has been having Bankruns for a few months now in rural area's. I believe it involves 8 banks not 4. I was suprised how little it's been in the news. Also it's being supressed offcourse. People can't withdraw money online, limited ammounts real life or not even withdraw anything. It's been rumoured that the lockdowns in Shanghai had actually been to prevent a bank run spilling over from the rural area's to city's.

Yea game developers and publishers are clamoring for more middlemen to cut into their profit margins. Let's say for example there's a game and 3 people want to buy it. It retails for $60, person A buys it at full retail value then sells it at the marketplace for $50 to person B, then person B sells it at the marketplace to person C for $40. Let's be very generous here and say game publishers get 20% commision from the sales. Then they would earn $60 + $10 + $8, vs potentially $60 + $60 + $60

BlurredSight - 27 upvotes - source
NFTs got a bad rep since it was a bubble that made it popular and morons bought ape images and made them "worth" millions. But now you start seeing companies like Ubisoft saying that they're decommissioning an entire lineup of games so even if you dropped $60 2-3 years ago you can't play it anymore after September. Or stuff like CSGO skins, nearly each skin has a unique identity you can say it's with the stickers and names but also each float value + pattern like a AK Case Hardened is going to be different for each holder. But when Steam decides to make trading illegal or implements a 7 day ban and every skin plummets in value and you're sorta stuck just using whatever Steam wants you to use that's where it becomes shitty. You put in $60 to buy a skin and if you sell it you don't get USD back you are stuck using it for Steam credits. A NFT marketplace if they actually develop it's planned, would be just like the Steam marketplace but rather it being 100% controlled by Steam on what currency you get back when you sell something or how trades are facilitated, Gamestop takes a transaction fee but leaves it up between buyers and sellers and uses the common currency IMX but you can always cash out to USD via BNB or BTC, etc. whatever the hell you want and since transaction computations happen off the blockchain there are really small gas fees. It's supposed to be a digital marketplace but takes out the entire thing of "moderation" and rather than get a license to a digital product you get the actual product.

A friend of my wife just posted their house for sale. They had an open house over the 4th holiday weekend. They got three offers. One at full asking. One at 5k over. One at 3k under. They decided to wait a few days before they replied. All three offers were cancelled. I think this is turning into a buyers market at best. TLDR: person sat on three offers for 5 days, all three canceled

Wanna_Know_More - 12 upvotes - source
This basically means it's about as likely as it can be, because analysts will never say that there is a 100% chance of something happening. And anyone saying this is priced in is full of shit, because analysts and companies haven't revised their forward guidance and earnings expectations for 2022 and 2023 to account for a recession. They're still saying the S&P 500 will be up 15-20% YOY. Whether it's July earnings reports or Q3, we're going to get an earnings recession with negative GDP, and it's going to bring the stock market down another leg as estimates have to be revised. All while the fed continues to tighten further and drive up the cost of capital. The credit markets will seize up in parallel. Edit: I want to emphasize that this is something the fed says it wants. It wants demand destruction. It wants a looser labor market. Rewatch Powell's last couple of FOMC pressers if you need proof. A recession is a welcome thing in the fed fight against inflation.

Between July 1 - 15 the stock trades "due bill" which means the trade also includes an obligation to forward the pending dividend/split shares to the new owner. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/duebill.asp Essentially it means that everyone who holds shares on the 15th will get the split and there's nothing unusual about the period leading up to it except for some extra accounting that your broker takes care of behind the scenes.
