20% gains year over year of real companies means you stop working in your 50’s. Short term/long term goals seem to be out of whack. I’m not against the occasional meme run. I made decent money off AMC when it pumped but I also sold at $60. Market is giving prime opportunities for young investors to get into legitimate companies that are going to be around for decades to come yet they are dumping life savings into garbage stocks whose balance sheets look like a war zone. It’s all good until you catch a falling knife and have no way out. Or you can be smart, use majority of capital to build a portfolio that will carry you in life. People can play memes but lottery tickets are lottery tickets for a reason. The majority of people end up buying nothing but rope
