As you can imagine, the internet had a few things to say about the price move. Here's a few choice comments from the Reddit Traderverse™:

I certainly don't understand what changed in me over the last couple of years but I'm making significantly better choices than before then. My guess is that I'm more comfortable in medium risk bets that have a comfortable time to maturity. But \[here's the PG rated version\] I am in an OTC Chinese stock WAYYYY more than I should be.

The markets already expected the 75 basis points increase so the banks and mortgage market already priced that in. They also priced in other increases as well, but now people are talking recession so they think that the Fed will actually lower rates sooner than expected. So to make it easier for you smooth brains that play Draft Kings, think about it this way: Las Vegas betting odds expect the Nets to not win the championship next year because people expect KD and Kyrie to be traded by the time the season starts. So the odds in Vegas already have "priced those odds in" even though both players are still on the Nets along with Ben Simmons and Seth Curry. Las Vegas also has the Nuggets and Clippers at good odds to win the championship next year even though some of the best players on both teams still are technically injured. The people betting expect that Kawhi, PG, Michael Porter, and Jamal Murray to all be available next season to make their teams better. The same goes for a team like the Bucks since their team is essentially the same as last year and the expectations are that Giannis will be the same MVP type player he's been for the last few seasons. So when you think about markets, think about the betting line. You still won't understand economics and finance to speak intelligently on the subject, but at least you'll be able to understand when markets move in ways that might be counterintuitive to a layman. You're welcome for the lesson. You can PayPal me can donuts and pizza if you're so inclined. Just remember that you'll probably want to buy a house someday, so maybe not. Best of luck in your life and money stuff.

Black Friday due to lowered diaper sales forecasts from PG

All those unwanted babies that get born will die from the formula shortage. PG can go maybe one more fiscal quarter before they get reamed by stagnating diaper inventory.
