Just got back from a week in the woods with little reception. Idk why everyone here is so bearish, so long as the honorable Abe Shinzo is at the helm of Japan I know all will be well.

SnooShortcuts7911 - 3 upvotes - source
The Japanese are fucked the most. Inflation is gonna turn it to the asian version of argentina. Dead president abe fucked his country up big time with abenomics".

Stock dividend is seeing an increase in chatter as well. Comments below:

If anyone's got a suggestion please let me know. I'm planning on directly calling them to request for a transfer and see what bullshit excuse they give me. My biggest fear right now is that I don't receive the dividend shares because all my shares are probably fake.

RealPigwiggy - 110 upvotes - source
Update: I just finished a call with their customer service and I'll sum up the 15 mins of going back and forth. First 5 mins: They asked me a bunch of security questions and whatever to verify my identity. Afterwards I started asking about the shares to which the lady said they are in the process of being transferred. Whenever I brought up the email screenshotted in this post she just kept saying that they are being transferred. I then asked her how long it would take for the shares to arrive at IBKR and she told me 2-3 business days which means I should receive it by Friday. If not I'm gonna call them again. I also asked about the dividend split and whether my share count would be corrected if it arrived after 22nd. Just in case that for some reason I didn't receive a dividend because my shares were mid transfer. That was. about it there was a lot of going back and forth where I tried to get answers out but she just kept saying the same thing. My plan is to wait till the 15th to see if my shares are in IBKR, if not then I'm gonna call them again and if they keep giving me shitty answers then it's corporate compliance officer time. Fuck these brokers I can't wait to DRS my shares. Edit: Also I recorded everything after the security questions were asked.

I like the stock

You may need to do like eToro users and get your account set up in IBKR and sell from one and transfer money into the other to buy them back. Not a fantastic time to be doing it, but I think I'd rather have the potential for some slippage than have my shares held with a broker who is "unable to deliver the specific instruments" at the time of a stock split.

just to say it, its restricted stock gamestop gave to CFO. Means no one has bought that on the market. upwards pressure is coming from market orders.

Lol, Forbes is trying : 'Shares of GameStop (GME) shot up 15% on Thursday after executives announced a 4-for-1 stock split. The next day the company fired its chief financial officer, a definite red flag. For the first time in a year it might be safe to bet against GameStop.' The article after this in my feed was' top 5 citadel stock picks'

Nft is another popular topic. Here's what they're saying:

If this is the case, it will be dope. Imagine a Pokemon online trading card game with each card beeing a NFT. GameOver

DYTTIGAF - 48 upvotes - source
GME shares will act as the price discovery mechanism on the "truth" about our NFT marketplace (and its exceptional performance). We don't have to worry about the MSM. They are just instruments of noise. It's scripted fiction. They could care less about the truth. Coinbase customer service performance (over the last year) should provide a leading indicator of how well their NFT marketplace is going to perform in the future. Coinbase has no soul. It's a void shell of disinterested zombies (who have no love for anything). That why their share price went from $400 to $60 in the span of a year. Expect this performance out of all their future digital offerings into the future. GME share price is unlimited. The company has a soul. It has share holders who have supported the future value of its vision. Our share price is going to the moon. Nice post!

A simple integration with an reverse image search algorithm could dwarf many such attempts of duping If you'd like to NFT a public image you could require additional verification

Holy fuck the popcorn apes are trying to “decipher” Adam arons tweets now. They think they’re getting a 4-1 split 😂😂😂 They literally copy everything. Please tell me how gamestops nft marketplace is bullish for popcorn

Considering pokemon already partners with gamestop for exclusive card bundles and the fact that pokemon tcg online exists but is kind of a bad version of what nfts would be. I'd say yes 100% pokemon will be coming to gamestops nft marketplace and will have nfts integrated with their card game and possibly video game. From what I understand the video game company just recently acquired the card making company. [source on acquisition](https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/the-pokemon-company-has-acquired-its-trading-card-game-manufacturer/) pretty sure there was a dd on this forever ago

Most likely found out already but interesting for those who have not seen it. From the secrets.txt file here: [https://www.gstop-content.com/ipfs/Qmb74W13FVsp4BFTJVeSxK7viNhPVKse72ay2Si52AKrhw/secrets.txt](https://www.gstop-content.com/ipfs/Qmb74W13FVsp4BFTJVeSxK7viNhPVKse72ay2Si52AKrhw/secrets.txt) It reveals a hash for "Keep looking". At the bottom of the screen, you also find a hash for "Konami code" which others found activated another easter egg in the arcade NFT. It's a fun stereotype but actually the majority of sales are from people who are caught up in the hype cycle of a project. High value sales do happen in the way you describe but pretty infrequently due to royalties and fees and they are pretty easy to spot in a collection. If all the NFTs trade at 0.5 and the sale of a random common hits like 15eth then it's pretty clear that it's someone trying to pump the project. 95% of owners of NFTs are regular people hoping to flip a 0.04 buy in into 1eth or something. It's the same way that people speculate on low marketcap cryptos, it's just with erc-721 and 1155 instead. If you spend more than 5 minutes in NFT communities you will realise "money laundering" is a meme just like how mainstream news calls crypto a pyramid scheme or that it's used for laundering.

lenin_is_young - 19 upvotes - source
Not to mention game devs are not interested in this bs. Why would they allow this stupid shit for 10% of the price of a second-hand copy if they can just sell new copies of the game on sale for whatever price they want? NFT bros are so desperate to find use of something that is useless.

Merger agreement is another popular topic. Here's what they're saying:

theMMaI - 158 upvotes - source
Eligible shareholders in AOW (other than Aker Horizons) will receive 0.1304 merger consideration shares in Aker Horizons for each share owned in AOW as of the expiry of the Effective Date.....Fractions of shares will not be allotted, and the number of consideration shares delivered to each eligible AOW shareholder will be rounded down to the nearest whole number. So as long as your shares were registered at VPS in Norway you've received equivalent value Aker Horizons shares on June 22. The last trading value of AOW was roughly $0.20 per share, so your 1500 shares were only worth around 300 USD before as well

NihFin - 133 upvotes - source
There was a non-disparagement clause in the agreement that he clearly violated multiple times - hence why they are including all this as evidence

Ed-Sanz - 89 upvotes - source
They probably already have loaned them and just need your agreement so they can be fine on their books. 😂

41BottlesOf - 63 upvotes - source
You’re missing the fact that he probably won’t be able to just pay the penalty and walk away. The Delaware courts will hand him his ass and he’ll have to buy the company at a very close price to agreement. This isn’t the SEC which Elon has been walking over for a decade. The Delaware courts don’t give a fuck. You make a deal in Delaware, you’re going to honor that deal, and some bots that you already knew existed aren’t going to get you out of that deal. Mark my words.

RockleyBob - 52 upvotes - source
I found this to be interesting: > Twitter also negotiated for itself a right to hire and fire employees at all levels, including executives, without having to seek Musk’s consent. Musk’s initial draft of the merger agreement would have deemed the hiring and firing of an employee at the level of vice president or above a presumptive violation of the ordinary course covenant absent Musk’s consent. Twitter successfully struck that provision before sign One of Elon’s chief complaints is that Twitter fired a couple of executives without consulting him, and it appears they even thought of that during their negotiations. Musk doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

junkdumper - 51 upvotes - source
Check with your provincial regulations. Stat pay doesn't always need to be paid if you're a brand new hire, or haven't worked xx hours/days in advance of the holiday. Unless you mean not being paid overtime rates for working on the stat day, in which case an agreement usually has to be signed between employers and employees with lieu days spelled out. I'm in BC so I'm not sure exactly of your rights, bit a visit to the website or a call to your labor board would likely yield some helpful answers Edit: There are also sometimes exceptions worked out in collective bargaining agreements if you're union. In which case, ask your shop steward.

Sabti - 45 upvotes - source
IANAL: Because a contract is a legally-binding document between parties, in certain instances if a party is not performing its obligations under the agreement (for example, by not paying for the agreed-upon goods), then the other party can file a complaint in court (here) and demand that the nonperforming (Musk) fulfill his legal obligation under the contract (specific performance). Twitter here is essentially requesting the Delaware court to order Elon to purchase Twitter, as per the agreement (specific performance!).

America is still number 2 in manufacturing. China is a huge player. The US automates most of their domestic manufacturing. Which is why most people think the US doesn't do manufacturing. If they do outsource they just go to the border with Mexico. Cheap labor and CAFTA agreement. No tariffs and easy truck and rail access. A lot big manufacturers have factories in Mexico to supply the US.

xeio87 - 30 upvotes - source
He should probably be more scared of their lawyers, given he only apparently realized he needed a good legal team after he already signed the agreement to purchase Twitter.

NootHawg - 25 upvotes - source
But why a merger? Why not say... a hostile takeover? You know, like a pirate... kinda like Porsche and VW.

390 is another popular topic. Here's what they're saying:

Pepsi was the first big reporter for Q2 and beat estimates this morning. Despite hiking prices on consumers, volumes didn't change much at all. Looks like our fat asses will inflate another 9% this year as well.

idkalan - 10 upvotes - source
Frito Lays owns roughly 60% of the market share of chips/snacks with their closest competitors being Nabisco(Ritz) and Kelloggs (Pringles). Compared to Pepsi's 25% of carbonated drinks against Coke's 40%. If Coke had bought Frito Lay instead of Pepsi, they would've basically been the Windows OS equivalent of snacks
