Reddit went down a little after 4PM EST today, and traders are wondering if it has to do with GME shares surging towards the end of the trading day.
A comment surge on wallstreetbets. (Likely in response to the price of GME) was occurring around the time of reddit going down.
A slew of systems on the popular social network are down. Mostly their ability to serve page requests across desktop, mobile, and native. It looks like things started going down a little after 4:00 PM EST.
Time will tell whether or not the two are connected, although the author thinks the chances are remote.
