My guess is a) bought puts on down days and calls on green days and when the market did the opposite the next day he sold for a loss and b) bought OTM call options on meme stocks after they rallied for 2-3 days then sold the next day or two for a loss. Never went all in, probably bought weeks to months to expiry so an 1-2% move against him wasn’t completely devastating each time, each loss was probably small relative to his account size, but over time he got riskier and bet more and lost more.

B/c the devil is in the bigger picture and details. Lowering tariffs by 10% means nothing when tariffs against China is still sky high above what it was before “Victory” Day earlier this year. Also his claim of all rare earths can now be exported is actually false. What China did is give a verbal agreement of loosening extraterritorial controls for only 1 year. Not actual export controls. China is definitely going to delay licenses and actual delivery of rare earth for the next entire year. This is not some victory..

Look at mr richie rich in loss porn with over 600 left in his account, more than a starving child in Africa could ever dream of (that would make you very wealthy in some places over there) and enough for 12 bj’s (or maybe 600 in Thailand). Maybe he should take himself to fatfire. Real talk, we’ve seen regards here turn 600 into 60000 so there’s always a chance… Then again, if your “life savings” was only 20k, you never had any life savings to begin with. Worst case, you could make that back in like 6 months doing DoorDash. What he should really focus on is getting a J-O-B.
