The Trump approach appears to be expecting minimum tariffs or controls from other countries to enjoy a bit lower tariff while relying on throwing the weight of USA around. Expecting this to be a while nothingness which results in a nice V. That or it's going to be a trigger for people to be go oh sht I forgot about risk and run for the hills to derisk, but this action will no longer have anything to do with whether the tariff escalation eventuate.

Don’t always need cash in sidelines to buy dips. You can increase leverage. Example: sell shares and buy LEAPS, shift from QQQ to TQQQ, etc. Yeah, risky but it is a way to in-essence buy the dip. I might do that if QQQ drops 15% from ATH. Still sucks waiting for 15% drop though. Prefer that we are done and just see a V recovery. Positive catalysts: - Trump keeps China meeting - progress on China deal - gov shutdown ending Fingers crossed.
