Who cares what they’re wearing on Main Street or Saville Row. It’s what you wear from ear to ear, and not from head to toe, that matters.
I heard she suffered a severe burn to her ear
Im sorry, what now? Speak into my good ear
Your biggest problem is greed. You needed to lower your exposure and buy more duration. There's nothing wrong with buying one contract with months on the expiration, but I am guessing a 20% gain wasn't enough and you wanted to 10x your money. My recommendation is to walk away from the market, focus on life, rebuild yourself. Maybe come back one day, but it's time to turn a page. We've all had big losses before and been where you are. All I can say is that you will move on from it. It'll hurt forever, but you will move on and feel joy in life. You're going to go through this. It's going to take time, a lot of it. The market does not move that fast. The shorter your timeframe on your contracts, the more likely you are trading noise or a tweet. If you need to talk about the loss, feel free to dm me. I can try to lend you an ear. What you've experienced is what people have always been saying that there is risk in the markets. There's upside risk, downside risk, and the market is always trying to get the money out of your pocket. The knowledge doesn't help, but I am writing it as a warning to others One thing that's a small comfort, losses get inflated away with time. They get smaller and smaller as life goes on, and your life will go on. Keep your chin up. There's more to life than this. Go chase some ladies (or men).
Little birdie keeps tweeting in my ear that the private credit turmoil is bigger than the strait not being gay. Fucking bird! Shoo
I’m gonna sounds like an old person with this response but I’ll never forget it. I was cashing some savings bonds at the bank during the GameStop/ amc spike and this couple was talking to a baker within ear shot about having 1k shares of amc and trying to discuss wealth planning with a banker and he was basically telling them not to sell any and it could really be worth even more in the not to distant future and I just stood up and practically yelled at them something like I’d sell it all right now, but if you don’t sell at least half you’ll regret it all your life. Wonder what happened to them.
