The press conference on Wednesday was interesting. RFK spent like 20 minutes talking about Tylenol, breaking it down into pretty digestible increments; with trump butting in every now and then saying explain it to me like I’m more stupid, and repeating the metric over and over. Then the press opened up and they caught a question about the soybeans. Trump punted it to the ag lady, where he told her to be brief. She used like four minutes to say how the evil empire of Bidendom actually ruined this. Then she actually had to pivot to speaking intellectually for like 20 seconds so the farmers wouldn’t be left in a lurch. The press erupted again, the conference was convened. The press continued to bark incoherent questions at Trump, and he murmured: “The country is FINE. FINE!” I’ve never seen Trump talk like that or have that composure.
