Honestly, it was because there weren't enough buyers. The chart hit the top of the channel. My first thought "big participants don't want to break this channel until aapl and NVDA reports, they rather gamma the bears" I would have longed the breakout of the channel, but rejection made the R/R to the short side much easier. I was waiting on a golden pocket pump until lower, but it's looking just as vicious to the downside as it was from October long side. Powell wasn't dovish either. And no "QT" reduction isn't dovish, that just signal he's a bitch and when the cards come tumbling he'll try to save the market. Everybody knows that so it doesn't count. In fact it's hawkish because the market had already dismissed "data dependent" when they were dot plotting cuts WAAAY ahead of time. When it came to the wire today he should've said "bah it's transitory/seasonal etc". Bad news for the bulls because it means they are going to have to wait some time for good R/R on calls. I'm thinking a 200 Ema visit before NVDA run up and everybody forgets all bad news and NVDA is the market again.
