Not sharing info about how much bc I get enough bot spam bs as is, but I typically spend around $1k a month all in. Hostels aren’t that expensive, and I used to spend $1k a month just on rent in LA. Obvs in Western Europe you’re spending more than that but in Asia and South America, North Africa, Middle East - it’s less. Averages to like $1k. When you’re just going country to country by land it’s not so expensive really. I hadn’t been anywhere (3 countries total) before I started, so every country was a destination. I legit circumnavigated last year and am going the other way around this year. Also flights aren’t as expensive as you think - I went from La to Japan for $195 (Zipair) last year then Oslo to Miami for $130 (Norse Atlantic) Just went Miami to France (French bee) for $160 this year. The flights aren’t there just gotta be more flex w/ ur dates like an unemployed mf can be. I’m in Germany rn, doing Oktoberfest for the 2nd time in a few days. There’s a place you can stay for €20 a night.
