Okay maybe I underestimated how much of our income goes to savings. Our gross combined is 250k, but my lifestyle hasn’t changed since I was making 50k fresh out of high school 15 years ago. Zero debt. Our rent is $4.5K/mo rent for a 2000sqft townhouse Groceries 1k-1.5k/mo (125lbs and 145lbs + 3 cats- so idk how much the fatties spend) Take out twice a week let’s estimate $700/month. (Never delivered - always picked up and no uber/doordash up charge). 1k or less on entertainment. Usually closer to 0 most months. Her car $400/month. Insurance probably $100 idk I never ask. I don’t drive so we actually save here. Medical varies widely, mostly because of me. I had a colonoscopy last month and getting an MRI Sunday so those two alone cost thousands. Seeing doctors and specialists every 3-4 months costs thousands even with insurance. We both wfh so we spend more on utilities, but the reduced gasoline spend probably offsets that to make it a wash.
