Stop being a pussy
But really people at the gym are friendly. Any jacked dude was once an anxious twink or fat fuck. Just go in and don't be afraid to ask people for help or talk with them if you need it
Apparently not just Canada.
I tasked Grok to dig through Chinese official and unofficial responses, reactions and announcements after Trump's latest performance. Not much officially, not even a formal acknowledgement. Short version: confidence in their strong position in any negotiations (if that term even applies with Trump) and choice of stong diplomats ("wolf warriors"), willingness to take short-term economic losses for defense of sovereignty, some throw-away things (such as soy contracts) to play with, absolutely nothing on strategic matters (nuclear weapons control, Taiwan, etc). Chinese state media coverage is "measured but firm, **emphasizing principled stance** on issues like rare earth exports and trade imbalances".
Interesting details on the reason why Bessent complained about the lead Chinese diplomat, after which that guy was "removed". In the middle of the meeting with Bessent, that guy called home and ordered investigation opened into Nvidia (which now apparently lost Chinese market completely), and then added the REE restriction, the details of which Bessent did not tell Trump (but who knows really). That is why Trump was surprised and reacted with +100% tariffs, then immediately TACOed. So the Chinese apparently promoted that that "wolf warrior" diplomat, as his assignment and focus on USA talks are national priority, while WTO is not.
Looks like Trump will get nothing out of Xi, perhaps some future-dated soy beans contract to present as an epic victory for US farmers. All that grand standing and cringy sweet talk ("I want good deal for China") was just branded bs to prop up the cracked market again. Chinese see that Trump consistently can't let markets have even a little red day without policy change, so they will likely use it against him, just as anyone would.
Yes and by definition, both companies develop things.... Anyhow, as far as PLTR goes, they've been around for a long time. Everyone these days views them has an "AI" company, which they aren't. They'll tack on the buzzword cause its the "thing" right now and sure they use/integrate LLMs, but what they are and always have been, is a data analytics firm. They develop software tools to meet the specific needs of the client so that clients can leverage the data that they have (or can get the data they need). In terms of government, sure it's spying on people, tracking them, integrating various intel systems, communication systems for military and a whole laundry list of things. For private businesses, it's finding and addressing inefficiencies in their logistics chain, managing and utilizing massive datasets that were previously overwhelming and unusable. Allowing old databases to talk to new databases as things were changed/upgraded over time. Giving leadership tools to make better, data-driven decisions (which sometimes means simply filtering out the noise). Giving marketing better targeting on their specific consumer. All of that adds value in a world where we have more data than we could ever possibly sort through or make heads or tales of. It's a massive problem and they're saying "hey, we build tools that solve these problems".
Yup, especially for companies that have tons of data to manage and/or multiple older databases that can't talk to their newer ones. PLTR develops tools to bridge those gaps and allow for those large datasets to actually be useful instead of cumbersome. Everyone talks about their sneaky squirl spy shit for governments, no one talks about how integrating their tools into corporate databases has shown improvement in things like logistics management, data management, decision making and so on. Allowing companies to operate more efficiently. All of this adds value by either reducing costs or increasing revenue. Imagine you have a 10 million ad spend, without their tools, maybe 5 out of every 10 ads reaches the wrong audience, with their tools maybe it's only 1 out of 10. More accurate advertising, more clicks, more sales. You still spend 10 mil, but it goes a lot further.
