I heard some kid yelling 6-7 earlier.
I thought he was trying to learn how to count without his fingers, but then I realized that its no more stupid than screaming slim shady lyrics
And the initial investment to open a location. If the margins are too slim, nobody will want to buy a franchise location and the main company will be reluctant to keep expanding. This also means some locations will close in order to maximize where the revenue is coming from.
I think we need to come to terms with the idea that the culture of takeout will fall by the wayside as lower to middle class people find it more and more unaffordable. I don’t see a serious drop in prices coming, beyond some of what we have already seen at places like McDonalds (which correspondingly cut their portion size for protein too).
Edit: fixed a grammar mistake
Edit 2: not franchise locations apparently as Chipotle doesn’t have those.
So it would just be a lack of new centrally owned locations and closing less profitable locations at a higher rate. The corporation can invest in an area where the margins are better and they would likely try to do that rather than just keep places open to provide burritos and rice bowls at lower margins than ever before.
