My husband works for the MIC & used to work direct for the DoD as the guy who kept everyone to contract language & within regulations & signed off on foreign military sales within guidelines(when foreign countries buy our weapons, theyre often nowhere near the same, sometimes theyre just buying shells)& all that.
Knowing how serious all of this has been, I truly cannot see THAT much of a reversal of course.
There were a months worth of high level, SCIF type meetings to use a foreign manufactured screen when noone in the US made them at all(then a million additional tests on those parts before they could be put into use)...AFTER they spent 3/4/6mos begging a US manufacturer to make them at any cost & couldnt get any takers.
Not one administration has wavered on this, so its difficult for me to understand such a reversal, but maybe.
