Israel got attacked by three neighboring Countries literally a week after it was founded and by people vowing to drive them into the sea. If I was them I'd be leery about that shit to. As for the Palestinians their Arab brethren have been using them as pawns from the jump. Those people are caught between a rock and a hard place. Ya gotta remember... there never was a nation or place called Palestine. It was controlled by the Ottomans until the Brits took control. During WW2 a lot of Jews went there because historically it's where Israel was. The West felt bad for em because of the Holocaust, plus the locals were pissed at all these Jews showing up, there was a lot of secretarian bullshit going on... we tried to meet in the middle. This part of the land is Israel and this part is Trans-Jordan. Well... the Arabs in the region really didn't like that and instead of going the peaceful route of, "ok... we have Trans-Jordan" immediately attacked Israel. Israel has been getting attacked ever since. I highly doubt it's strictly the Palestinians behind it. Other Countries consider them useful as refugees. If they really cared they'd have repatriated them.
