People never factor inflation into this. Assuming OP could live 50+ more years.
They also don't factor in the type of mentality that risks it all on options that got them to this point doesn't permit the "I could just passively invest this and live a moderate, comfortable life in an efficient condo or ranch with a quarter acre near a nice duck pond" mentality.
Those people will do just fine, but never go from $200k to $3M in a year, to start.
