I'm really not sure. I'm not sure the judges will give many hints today either. I could see them coming up with any bullshit argument they want to justify the end they're looking for. I feel the market thinks either tariffs will not have the long run effects they're known for, or will be ruled illegal. It's pretty cooked if the consumer drops this much buying power even if it doesn't show up completely yet.

As far as I understand, hedge funds are required to regularly disclose their trades/positions to the SEC. That's not the same thing as disclosing their trades ahead of time or in real-time.

Cost to buy a member of Congress and get them to do whatever you want them to? My guess would probably be $50M. Multiply that by 535 and that’s only a bit under $27B. Yep, Elon or Bezos or zuck could definitely buy Congress and they probably already have…

Should be obvious by now, but someone should actually try copying member’s of Congress trades with a bunch of leverage and see if they can actually become rich that way. Something must explain how they all become worth hundreds of millions of dollars after entering office with nothing. You’ll never be worth $1M on a congressional salary without pre-existing wealth if you play by the rules, let alone $100M or $200M or $500M or whatever they become worth (the type of money that gets you your own winery … yes talking about you Nancy), but if we can copy their trades and become rich too, then I don’t necessarily have a problem with it.
