Literally I am at that point too. So many including the govt and richest people are in debt at massive rates - and the few people I know that have gone bankruot got their credit back up a lot quicker than they and I exoected. There is no real consequences anymore to borrowing and defaulting or being in so much debt it makes no sense. F it

EU is 10% import duty on US built cars. Historically higher than US imports tariff on European cars (2.5%)
The main reason US vehicles are less popular in Europe is they're huge and don't really work in European cities, and fuel is much more expensive (gasoline is \~$2/litre in Germany, so \~$9USD) so a V8 F-150 makes little sense when the Ford Transit exists. Smaller US cars like the Ford Focus, Festiva sell well, and Tesla continues to do very well in Europe despite Musk's efforts to alienate the brand.
Plus whatever buy local/national sentiment exists with regards to brand loyalty.
