it's not as long as u dont have insider info. every company i've worked at has no clauses for trading competitor's stocks. ur only subject to rules concerning ur own companys stock. obv if u have insider info like u know ur company lost a deal to intel and u buy intel's stock ahead of time then ur gunna get SEC
