is FUBO ded, i thot merger this month!??
I sold all fubo shares(14k) two weeks ago, but bought 10 leap call. I felt like wasting my opportunity for last 6 months holding it.
I really wanted to join this play months ago when it was getting popular around here. The only problem i have with it is the reviews on FUBO the actual app. Everyone seems to hate it and all customers complain about it. Just look it up and its crazy how many bad reviews it has. So that was a big no for me.
Fubo is dogshit
All in on fubo nice 👍🏽
I feel like this would be offered through the Disney app. Just like the offerings prime does. This leaves Fubo and Hulu content available to be licensed to any streaming provider that's willing to pay for licensed content.
From the link "Under the terms of the agreement, at closing, Disney will own approximately 70% of Fubo. Fubo’s existing management team, led by Fubo Co-founder and CEO David Gandler, will operate the newly combined Fubo and Hulu + Live TV businesses. Fubo and Hulu + Live TV will continue to be available to consumers as separate offerings post-closing and will facilitate an enhanced choice of programming packages addressing a variety of consumer preferences at attractive price points."
Initially, yes. But then FUBO operates with 6M+ subscribers, Hulu's old Live TV service, and the strong possibility of Disney marketing the service to their streaming audiences as an upgrade path. So if you're on Disney+ (128M subscriptions) then the hope is you'll see Fubo listed right there with the ESPN subscriptions and bundled with Disney services for discounts. The approval is just a hurdle that makes that possible. But it's the biggest unknown, and only real blocker left on the deal.
FUBO is going no where. Disney bought them out… https://ir.fubo.tv/news/news-details/2025/Fubo-Shareholders-Approve-Business-Combination-With-The-Walt-Disney-Companys-Hulu--Live-TV/default.aspx
Not a stupid question, that could be the case. Another bear case is Disney will own 70% of Fubo and the structure could lead to dilution. The bull case is with Disney’s support, Fubo profits increase and the shareholders that own the other 30% benefit. I don’t have a huge position in Fubo and don’t consider my DD well-researched, though
