Haven't you ever met a margin call in the past 10 years?
I’m doing much better here than I ever did in Vegas
Why ever bet on retail? Hold stock maybe but options? Nah. Retail is way too interlinked to Main Street and Main Street is suffering.
JPow is literally the epitome of establishment talk, lmao at the simps here who constantly glaze him all day. He never ever speaks directly. Get to the point and stop mincing ur words like a cuck
"Who in the world ever said 4x leverage was the norm or standard?" Nobody. Optimal leverage depends on the portfolio. If it's high risk (all stocks), it's around 2:1. If it's an arbitrage book, like a HF, it's probably 30:1. I'm somewhere in between with this multi-asset portfolio. "If the positions are true and not just on paper then what happened during the flash crash back earlier this year?" [I bought the dip](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/1k74q6y/borrowing_42m_buy_the_dip/)
What is the number at which the leveraged amount caves your skull in on a dip? Who in the world ever said 4x leverage was the norm or standard? Why would you be taking such risks in this environment? If the positions are true and not just on paper then what happened during the flash crash back earlier this year?
No one has ever found their soulmates mathematically speaking. There are 8 billion people on earth , 4B of the other gender , and let's say 1B (or 2B+ if you are bisexual) of those are eligible to be your partner , you will have to filter out 1B+ people to find your soulmate and I doubt anyone have.
I've read lifecycle investing as per one of your previous recommendations. Don't Ayers and nalebuff recommend deleveraging as you approach retirement and/or can't make meaningful contributions from your savings?  Are you planning to ever de-lever or are you going to stay the course for your whole life? What about withdrawing once you're no longer working: still comfortable with the leverage? Smart beta funds sound cool but I've never seen them beat cap-weighted indices in real-world backtests. Is the theory that they're safer (less volatile) than cap weights because of the tech bubble? Congrats on the gainz. Not sure I'm gutsy enough for a portfolio like this, but it's fun to dream about
It concerns me that anyone ever took this company seriously. And you can add crap like the other "quantum stocks" and OKLO to that pile.
Personally, I think you should borrow everything the bank allows you to, and leverage every assett you and your family have ever owned...what could go wrong?
