Great. I have a PhD in EE from a top 5 university. Mechanical engineering isn't competitive because it lacks good prospects overall. I went into software for the $, but software is boring mind numbing work compared to EE. I also have an ultra high net worth and I am not autistic. Many engineers who are autistic love Elon because Elon is a weird ass fucking peodphile so these autistic look up to him because he is rich so some people overlook his creepiness and lack of social awareness. Also just because someone have a PhD doesn't make them smart. It just means they have expertise in that one field and it's usually a niche in that field. Do not conflate intelligence with titles.
