My director at work whenever "challenged" publicly will say "let's take this offline".
In fairness at first I kind of dug it, felt it was a good way to de-escalate a situation.
Over the last year it's begun to wear on me, as I now think they have "no balls", so to speak.
It can be the most mundane shit as well, like them starting a meeting by saying happy Monday, when it's actually Tuesday, and someone joking with them to correct them. Followed by "let's take this offline".
