A point on this: the culture of packing your own lunch is disappearing as it's less and less possible to have a "stay at home parent/person". If both people are working both are going to be hella tired when they get home and won't want to cook or meal prep. I see this in me.
My gf and I both work starting at 7. We both get home around 6. Ain't nobody cooking when we get home on a workday tbh. Meanwhile both of our parents have almost paid off houses from 25 years ago, low ass payments and only one parent has to work. Both our dads have a big ol lunch packed by their spouse by 7AM.
Times are changing and convenience is going to be more and more important if you don't want to burn yourself out.
