That´s sarcasm, right? He literally tries to hunger out supposed supporters of the Dems. Reducing flights is necessary, but by using it as a political platform, he tells people, that he is going to hurt them, until the Dems give in. He is using economical warfare on his own people, in the believe, their suffering will force them to stop supporting the Dems. And for the first time now people see the responsibility for the shutdown not with either the Dems nor the Reps, but with the Pres. He is trying to turn the US economy into a Vietnam battlefield and at least as of now he is reaping the very same result the US got there: People are flocking to his enemy. 11 months ago it seemed as if for several years there would be no one able to bring down the Don. He proved that wrong. He himself is bringing himself down. By wrecking the economy. Yes, it is all about affordability. And even his supporters think he is wrong on that.
